AChE and EYE Partnership
New Opportunities for Young Chemical Engineers
The Association of Chemical Engineers of Serbia (AChE) became a member of the European Young Engineers (EYE) organization in November 2024.
This partnership brings numerous opportunities for young engineers in Serbia, particularly by providing direct access to professional networking and collaboration with peers from across Europe. The AChE delegate to the EYE General Assembly is Marija Vjetrović, B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
Through the AChE–EYE partnership, the following opportunities are available to young AChE members:
- Attend EYE conferences across Europe at discounted registration fees.
- Participate in discussions and decision-making on topics of international importance where the engineering profession can make a significant contribution, such as engineering education and sustainable development, through involvement in EYE Board meetings and activities.
- Take part in EYE workshops organized in cooperation with leading European companies while representing Serbia.
- Improve public speaking, communication, and presentation skills by engaging with engineers from various disciplines.
- Attend EYE conferences across Europe at discounted registration fees.
About EYE
The European Young Engineers (EYE) is an international non-profit organization founded in 1994. It represents a community of more than 100,000 young engineers from 22 European countries. EYE’s vision is: “To be the voice of young engineers in Europe.” Its mission is to provide young engineers with a platform for networking, exchanging ideas, and jointly representing their views to governments, industry, and academia.
EYE collaborates with several international organizations and institutions, including:
- 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)
- European Commission
- United Nations.

EYE Activities
Twice a year, in spring and autumn, EYE organizes international conferences together with one of its member organizations. Each conference is hosted in a different European city, providing participants with a unique opportunity to visit local companies while exploring new cultures and destinations.
These conferences not only support professional development and networking with fellow engineers from across Europe but also encourage young engineers to broaden their international experience through travel and cultural exchange. In addition to conferences, EYE organizes workshops and webinars designed to be highly interactive. Participants work on real-life engineering challenges, develop practical skills, and build valuable professional connections. Workshops are typically held in smaller groups and focus on specific technical or professional topics, allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations.
Upcoming EYE Activities
As an EYE member organization, AChE enables its young members (aged 18–35) to register for EYE conferences at discounted rates.
The invitation for the next EYE Conference, organized jointly by EYE and the University Engineering Students’ Association (UESA Malta), taking place in Malta from 24–27 April 2025, is available at:
