Students at AChE

SHI achieves this by regularly organizing additional scientific and professional development activities, while continuously informing students about opportunities for further education, professional training, and internships. These opportunities are provided through direct cooperation with companies and professionals in Serbia and abroad, as well as through collaboration with scientific institutions and professional associations.

Expand and Share Your Knowledge with Colleagues Across Europe

AChE’s cooperation with the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) also includes a special section for Early Career Chemical Engineers. This section is intended for both Master’s graduates and those who have completed a Bachelor’s degree, provided that they have no more than eight years of professional experience as Master’s graduates or no more than four years of professional experience as PhD holders. If you would like to become involved in the Early Career Chemical Engineers working group, join AChE and feel free to contact us.

EFCE – Early Career Chemical Engineers:

EFCE actively supports and encourages the development of young chemical engineers through several prestigious awards.

The EFCE Student Mobility Award recognizes outstanding European chemical engineering students who have successfully completed at least one semester of study abroad.

The EFCE Excellence Awards / Young Researcher Awards recognize researchers whose scientific publications or doctoral theses have made outstanding contributions to research and industrial practice in various fields of chemical engineering.

EYE – European Young Engineers

Another important international partnership that creates valuable opportunities for young AChE members is our cooperation with the European Young Engineers (EYE) (see the EYE page).
EYE strives to become the leading platform for young engineers in Europe by promoting collaboration and networking among engineers from different countries. Through SHI’s membership in EYE, our young members can participate in conferences held across Europe at discounted registration fees. In addition to building an international professional network, participants develop their communication and presentation skills by engaging with fellow engineers from diverse disciplines.
EYE conferences are organized twice a year in one of the EYE member countries.

AChE supports undergraduate and Master’s students by offering free membership in the Association. Student members gain access to numerous professional opportunities, valuable information, and the chance to become actively involved in the chemical engineering profession while still studying.

In addition, all student members are entitled to receive complimentary copies of AChE’s scientific journals—Hemijska industrija and Chemical Industry & Chemical Engineering Quarterly (CICEQ)—which can be collected from the AChE office.
